We got our first Boston when I was in High School. It had always been my dream to breed and show dogs and when I was in my 30s I decided to go for it. I bought my first well bred Boston. And the rest is history.

Now in our sixth generation of Ta-Koda Boston Terriers, we fully health test every dog before breeding with a minimum of BAER (Hearing), CAER (Eyes) and Patella's, most dogs have additional testing which may including heart, spine, trachea and BOAS (breathing/airway) testing. Our dogs are bred to win both in the ring and on your couch. While they excel in the show ring, first and foremost they are our pets and companions.

"We just want a pet, not a show dog." our puppies are all raised exactly the same whether they are destined for the show ring or for your couch. They all get the same love and dedication, because that's what they all deserve. A pet home is not a down grade.

The name Ta-Koda means friend to many, or friend to all—a fitting reflection of the dogs we raise.
